Me and several of my friends have lived abroad for years, and some have remained in those countries. We didn't stay in Finland to build a career first but left as soon as we could. And everyone had to support themselves through work, one way or another. I went to study, then love took me elsewhere. My story is typical. I returned to Finland after ten years and I’ve been unemployed several years because of my kids. I'm not rushing to return to work. My husband is working and at some point we hope to switch. I'm genuinely happy and doing exactly what I’ve always wanted. Am I right that, above all, your own experiences of working and creating a career have provoked such a strong backlash in you? Don’t you think it’s possible that many people may have had a better balance in life than you? Even if there are workaholics and hoarders among my friends, I know a lot of people who have pretty good values in life. Anyway, it was inspiring and interesting to read about your life and your bold life change! Thanks for that!
